opportunities for students and graduates of the Washington High School Community
in Los Angeles, CA by way of grants and direct engagement.
We give back to the school that has already given so much to us!
The Vision of EMPERORS FOREVER (E4E) is empowering the youth in the
designated area with need-based educational resources.

The EMPERORS FOREVER "NEXT STEP" GRANT
Our grants provide a one-time award of up to $1,000 for academic, career, or
entrepreneurial enrichment for graduating male students attending George Washington Preparatory High School (GWPHS) in Los Angeles, California.
Students can receive up to $1,000. E4E will award Grants, based on the applicant’s application, essay, and Letter of Recommendation.
CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY (2024 E4E GRANT FUND APPLICANTS)

Applicant must attend George Washington Preparatory High School (GWPHS) in Los Angeles, California or reside in the community.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.

Applicant must have at least a 2.7 grade point average.

Applicant must demonstrate community involvement, improvement in academics, and a desire to continue his education or vocational or entrepreneurial vision.

Applicants may not be, related to any Board of Directors or staff for this presents a conflict of interest.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

APPLICATIONS for 2024 E4E NEXT STEP GRANTS will OPEN MARCH 1, 2024..

The DEADLINE for 2024 E4E NEXT STEP GRANTS APPLICATIONS is MAY 1, 2024.

ONLY APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED ONLINE will be considered.

Refer to the application process below for a list of the supporting documents needed (i.e., reference letter, evidence of GPA, etc.)

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applicants will be notified by email regarding the status of their application.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicant must submit the following items:

Completed application form.

Letter of application addressed to the E4E Grant Committee. The letter should contain a brief explanation about yourself and your future plans (intended major, vocational training, or business interests and anticipated start date). The letter should not exceed one (1) page.

One (1) letter of recommendation from a choice of high school teachers, administrators, counselors, employers, or an individual with significant knowledge of the applicant’s experience and involvement.

Official documentation from GWPHS confirming the applicant’s eligibility to graduate in the Spring of the year the application is submitted.
5. Personal Essay
Theme: “Why are you applying for this award? Tell us about a time when you had a belief or idea challenged.”
The essay must be at least 1-2 typed pages, double-spaced,12 pt. Time New Roman or Arial font. The essay shall contain no grammatical errors.
